Dr Parvinder Singh, controller of examinations, Panjab University, today took over as Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, congratulated Dr Parvinder on taking charge.

Speaking on the occasion, Sahila Bahra, vice-president, Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, said over the years Rayat Bahra University had carved a niche for itself in academic and extracurricular activities and was attracting students not only from different parts of the country, but abroad too.

Dr Parvinder, who had taken over as the PU controller of examinations in 2013, taught chemistry in the Post Graduate Government College, Sector 42, for 22 years and also remained head of the Chemistry Department for six years.

He is a life fellow of TERA (USA) and ACS (USA), Chandigarh Rattan Awardee and former member of the PU academic council, faculty of science, board of studies.
