Additional Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain today inaugurated the first drive-in Covid testing facility in the district. The facility will be run by a private lab.

Covid testing was of vital importance, said the Additional Deputy Commissioner. People still had fear of getting infected at closed facilities, the Additional Deputy Commissioner added. “This kiosk will be useful in eradication of the disease in Mohali,” said the Additional Deputy Commissioner.

She hoped that just like the drive-through vaccination centre, drive-in testing would also be appreciated by residents.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
