Panchkula, May 19

Panchkula will carry out its first drive-through vaccination exercise from May 21 at Parade Ground, Sector 5. The campaign will initially run for two days and all eligible beneficiaries can drive to the centre to get jabbed.

A decision to this effect was taken after a committee constituted by Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja for the planning and execution of drive-through vaccination visited Parade Ground and found it suitable for the exercise.

Dr Meenu Sasan, District Immunisation Officer, said: “The vaccination shall take place on Friday and Saturday in two sessions, from 9 am to noon and from 4 pm to 6 pm, for all eligible beneficiaries.”

Sources said Dr Sasan and Dr Anuj Bishnoi have been made overall in-charge for verification and vaccination of people driving to the centre.

Online registration of people coming to the venue shall be checked at the entry gate, and those without registration would be advised to first register for the vaccination and then proceed further.
