The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) had issued a demolition order against these buildings, which were constructed without proper authorisation, in 2019. The owners had request for a 15-day extension in January 2024 to demolish the structures on their own, but failed to do so.

Today’s action underscores the administration’s commitment to enforcing building regulations and maintaining orderly development within the region. The demolition drive is being conducted in a systematic manner to ensure the safety and security of all residents in the vicinity.

Deputy Commissioner Vinay Partap Singh emphasised that unauthorised constructions would not be tolerated and that strict action will be taken against any violations of building norms.
