Two teams were formed under the supervision of Zirakpur DSP Jaspinder Singh to investigate the matter. The suspect, Manjit Singh of Lohgarh, Zirakpur, was apprehended.

During his search, 2-gm heroin were seized and a case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act was registered against him. Police officials said the accused had previously been booked under the same act in 2021.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
