The drive was initiated under directions from deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Guriqbal Sikand, who said, "Under the drive illegally acquired property of Manpreet Singh, alias Money, a resident of Sher Majra, worth Rs 25 lakh has been seized under various sections of the NDPS Act."

"The accused has six FIRs registered against him, of which two FIRs are of possession of commercial quantity," he added.

The DSP further said the police department has a zero-tolerance policy against drugs and strict action will be taken against offenders.
