Drugs awareness cyclothon reaches Panchkula

Aimed to showcase the commitment to public health and youth empowerment, Cyclothon 2.0 reached the city as part of the state-wide Drug-Free Haryana campaign. The cyclists were welcomes with enthusiasm at the Police Lines under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Rakesh Kumar Arya.

The Cyclothon resumed from Tau Devi Lal Stadium. Leading by example, Arya joined over 100 police personnel on bicycles, riding through Nada Sahib and onwards to Ramgarh point.

The Commissioner lauded the participating cyclists, describing them as “a source of inspiration for the youth.” He underlined the importance of leading a life grounded in discipline, physical well-being, and service to society, rather than falling prey to the menace of drug addiction.

Launched as part of Panchkula Police’s broader anti-drug initiative that began in December 2024, the Cyclothon marks a continued effort to raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyles. Provisions such as overnight accommodation, meals, and bicycle maintenance were arranged at the Police Lines to ensure a seamless experience.
