DSP Soni to file bail plea today: Counsel

A local court today sent DSP Atul Soni back to judicial custody in Ropar.
Soni’s counsel said they would now file his bail application tomorrow.
Soni appeared before the court of Ruchi Swapan Sharma after his 14-day judicial custody ended today. His wife Sunita Soni too was present there.
DSP Soni, who was booked for allegedly firing at his wife, had surrendered before the Mohali court on March 2. The court had sent him to Ropar jail.
The local police brought him on production warrants on March 5, from where he was sent to police remand for two days.
