State Education Minister Seema Trikha called upon the school management committees (SMCs) today to keep a close watch on the government schools and play their roles in improving the functioning of the schools.

Addressing a gathering at a district-level training programme, the minister said, “The school management committees are working as a link between the parents and the teachers. Our objective is to help children have a good future. The SMCs should hold meetings with the parents and the teachers at least once every three months.”
