Thapar Polytechnic College, Patiala, organised the Principals’ Conclave-2025 on the theme, “Educational leadership redefined: A conclave for future readiness”, the event brought together more than 70 principals from the schools and polytechnic institutions to deliberate on the evolving priorities of India’s educational landscape.

In his address, Dr Ankush Kansal emphasised the urgent need to reorient education systems toward outcome-based learning and skill-driven education.

Panel discussions were also held on themes such as “The transition from traditional teaching to outcome-based learning”.

Two-day summit for startup, investors begins

Mohali: Aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration and advancement within the startup and investment ecosystem, Chandigarh University's first-of-its-kind North India Incubators & Capital Summit (NIICS) 2025 got underway today. The two-day event will bring together over 100 incubators from eight states in the region, around 250 top startups and more than 20 venture capitalists, angel investors and entrepreneurs for creating innovation and investment opportunities in the region. The summit has been endorsed by by STEPs and Business Incubators Association, TiE (IndUS Entrepreneurs) Chandigarh, MeitY Startup Hub and Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

Drugs awareness marathon held

Fatehgarh Sahib: Aimed to create awareness against drugs, the district police in collaboration with Municipal Council Mandi Gobindgarh organised a Marathon this morning. Punjab Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, SSP Subham Aggarwal were among the paritipants. The winners were honored with medals. —OC
