The city on Thursday reported 801 fresh coronavirus infections and eight Covid deaths.

While the active caseload reached 6,652, the overall tally stands at 41,923. The UT Covid toll is 465. A total of 447 patients recovered from the disease in past 24 hours.

8 more succumb in Mohali, 888 test ve

Mohali: Eight patients succumbed to Covid in the district during the past 24 hours. Besides, 888 persons were found infected. As many as 774 patients have been cured. Among the new cases, 326 came from Mohali (urban), three from Lalru, eight from Kurali, 12 from Boothgarh, 14 from Banur, 48 from Gharuan, 106 from Dera Bassi, 123 from Kharar and 248 from the Dhakoli area of Zirakpur. Panchkula sees 7 deaths, highest single-day toll

Panchkula: The district on Thursday reported seven Covid deaths, the highest single-day death toll in the district since the pandemic broke out. At least four of them had no known comorbidities. The district also recorded 407 fresh cases. TNS
