Panchkula district witnessed one more fatality, taking the Covid death toll up to 4. The deceased was a resident of Sector 4.

The Civil Surgeon, Dr Jasjit Kaur, said two days ago, samples of three members of the Sector 4 resident’s family were collected for Covid tests and their reports came positive. However, they did not bring a 72-year-old member of the family for test. When his condition deteriorated, the family brought him to the hospital in Sector 6. A rapid test confirmed he was infected. However, he died before the report came in.

Meanwhile, seven employees of the Axis Bank branch in Sector 10 were among 26 fresh cases that surfaced today.
