A demand letter in this regard will be handed over to Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh tomorrow. Today, on a call given by the association, employees gathered near Shivalik Hotel, Sector 17, and marched towards the Governor’s House, raising slogans against officials of the Chandigarh Administration and the Municipal Corporation.

Barricades were put up by the police. When the employees were stopped, they handed over their demand letter to SDM Tejdeep Singh Saini to be forwarded to Chandigarh Administrator Banwarilal Parohit.

The SDM assured the delegation that the demand letter would soon be sent to the Chandigarh Administrator.
