The UT Estate Office will initiate disciplinary action against employees over unjustified delays in delivery of services. During a review meeting of the Estate Office, Diprava Lakra, Secretary, Estate, emphasised the need for timely service delivery by the Estate Office staff once a property owner submits application.

He stressed that delays in processing applications must be avoided and officials should work diligently to ensure prompt action. The Assistant Estate Officers (AEOs) were instructed to closely monitor staff performance and ensure that applicants do not face unnecessary hardships. The Secretary further emphasised that if any employee was found negligent or responsible for unjustified delays, disciplinary action should be considered for maintaining accountability.

It was further directed to monitor the recovery of dues pertaining to leasehold and other properties and a system be formulated wherein messages should be sent to the property owners for the timely deposit of dues in the Estate Office.

Instructions were issued to expedite digitization of records and processes to ensure transparency, efficiency and convenience for citizens. The meeting was attended by Nishant Kumar Yadav, Estate Officer, Joint Secretary, Estate, Assistant Estate Officers and SDMs
