The Youth Welfare Department on Wednesday organised a special programme to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur at Gurdwara Sahib on the Punjabi University campus.

Addressing the gathering, Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, the chief guest, said, “We are fortunate that in the history of the world, it is the Sikhs who have the honour of their Guru sacrificing life for the beliefs of others.”

He expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, for organising large-scale events to propagate Guru’s unique martyrdom and profound philosophy.
