While addressing the gathering, the VC appreciated the PU faculty for teaching during tough times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite all challenges, 2020 emerged as the year of quantum leap wherein everyone learnt how to switch over to technology, said the VC.

“The PU is continuously taking new initiatives to benefit research innovation and learning environment. Around 400 national/international/webinar/FDP were organised by various teaching departments,” the VC added. The event was attended by Prof RK Singla, Dean (UI), Vikram Nayyar, finance and development officer and officiating registrar, and Prof Ashwani Kaul, chief, university security along with PU Deans, senior officials, PUTA president, faculty, staff and their families. — TNS
