The Finance & Contract Committee of the Municipal Corporation (MC) has decided that till the policy guidelines for booking of commercial grounds such as Housing Board Ground, Manimajra; and Circus Ground, Sector 17, are finalised, the current system of booking based on first come, first served shall remain in force.

The decision has been taken in the meeting of the committee held today under the chairpersonship of Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla.

The meeting was attended by Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, and other members of the committee, including Saurabh Joshi, Jasmanpreet Singh and Suman Devi, besides senior officers of the corporation.

The committee approved the agenda item regarding the booking of Housing Board Ground, Manimajra (Dussehra Ground) for a commercial event.
