Brace for heat wave conditions on April 18 and 19, says the Met forecast for the city.

The maximum temperature is expected to rise by two degrees in the next two days. It is likely to fall thereafter. Winds at a speed of 25-35 kmph are likely during the next 72 hours. Thunderstorm/ lightning is likely at isolated places on April 19 and 20, according to the weatherman. The maximum temperature in the city on Sunday was 38.2°C, four degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 20.8°C, two degrees above normal. —

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
