Concerned over a delay in the completion of the Surajpur–Sukhomajri road connecting Pinjore with the industrial town of Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today conducted a surprise inspection of the bypass construction work.

The CM enquired about the reasons for the delay in the work and directed officials to complete the remaining job at the earliest. He said the works on railway track and the national highway crossing the Pinjore bypass were stalled due to a technical reason. He said these works would be expedited.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
