The Department of Physics, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSD) College, today organised a lecture on ‘Particles, Fields and Fundamental Particles’.

Prof Emeritus Manmohan Gupta, Department of Physics, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, was the resource person for the session.

He discussed the significance and applications of studying particle physics. He informed the participants contemporary knowledge about the fundamental particles and their properties, including fundamental interactions, with the help of Feynman diagrams.

As many as 200 students attended the lecture at the college. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students.

Dean Sciences Sajeev Soni and Shikha Gupta, Head, Physics Department, graced the occasion and thanked the speaker for an insightful lecture.
