The accused had been working at the medical reimbursement department of the police. A case was registered against the accused on the complaint of Senior Constable Virender Singh.

The police arrested the accused on March 20, 2021. The counsel of the accused claimed that the petitioner had been falsely implicated in the case. The Assistant Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application.

He said the cheated amount — Rs,96,056 — had been recovered from the petitioner. After hearing the arguments, the court rejected the bail plea. — TNS
