The body of a farmer, Bhupinder Singh, who went missing on July 25, was fished out from the Narwana branch canal here today. Bhupinder, a resident of Bhudangpur village, was reportedly facing financial crisis.

Surinder Singh, younger brother of the deceased, said: “Bhupinder went missing on July 25. He was facing financial crunch as he had suffered loss in wheat crop.”

Roshan Lal, in-charge of the Naneola police post, said: “Bhupinder’s family members informed us that he was upset for the past few days. The body has been handed over to the family members after postmortem examination.”
