Fee exemption to second-hand car bazaar dealers will be decided by the Finance and Contract Committee of the Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.

A request in this regard has been received from general secretary car dealer association who informed that their president, Gulshan Kumar, expired on May 25 this year and as a mark of respect to the departed soul, they did not operate Car Bazaar on May 26. They have requested to adjust the fee for the said day that has already been deposited with the corporation. A report in this regard was taken from the Enforcement Wing as to whether the car bazaar was held on this day or otherwise and the enforcement team has verified that car bazaar was closed except site numbers 1 and 2 which were open.

A total of 31 car dealers’ site were vacant. Accordingly, an agenda to adjust the weekly fees of Rs 2.17 lakh, Rs 7,000 each in respect of 31 car dealers was deposited. This proposal will be decided by the panel. Apart from this various other development agendas will be taken up.

Besides, House meeting is scheduled to be held on August 21. Several agendas, including laying of paver blocks and upgrade of parks will be tabled in the meeting.
