Five government schools in the city achieved cent per cent results in the CBSE Class X exams.

GMSS, Sector 18, GMSSS, Sector 16, GMSSS, Sector 21, GMSSS, Sector 33 and GMSSS, Sector 37-B came up with overwhelming results.

Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage of government schools has been recorded at 77.18. A total of 8,541 students appeared for the exams and apart from the above mentioned five schools, 26 government schools recorded a pass percentage of 90 and above.

Vijeta best performer

Vijeta of GMSSS, Sector 22-A, became the best performer in the government school category with 96.80 per cent. Gaurika (96.60 per cent) and Mannat Choudhary (96.40 per cent) of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, claimed the second and third positions, respectively. Gurwinder Kaur (95.40 per cent), Parul (95.20 per cent) and Rachna (95 per cent) were among the best performers.
