Three days after a youth was attacked and stabbed at Ram Darbar, the police have arrested five miscreants for the crime. Three of them have criminal history with cases of assault registered against them in the past.

On October 20, the victim, Vansh, was attacked by a group of miscreants over some old rivalry. He was stabbed, causing serious injuries. The police were informed about the incident and a case was registered at the Sector 31 police station.

The police said during the investigation, Vassu (24), Amit, alias Nanu (22), Gurdeep, alias Guri (20), Ravi, alias Krela (20), and Tushar (22), all Ram Darbar residents, were arrested.

The police said Vassu, a safai karamchari at a government hospital, already had three cases registered against him, including two of assault. Similarly, Amit was already named in a case each of robbery and snatching, while Tushar also had three cases registered against him, the police said.
