Residents hold protest

‘Ganda paani... tauba.. tauba... tauba’, ‘Votan de vele hor, kaam de vele chor’. These were some of the “Jumle and Boliyan” that Kharar residents, particularly women and housewives, used to wake up the Bhagwant Mann-led state government and local MLA and Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann after half of the town was waterlogged two days ago. The protest continued for two days at Chajjumajra. Seeing the protesting crowd swell and situation getting out of hand, Kharar SDM Gurmandar Singh dashed to the area and took a trip of waterlogged areas on a tractor amidst sloganeering.
