Hours after a horrific plane crash in Ahmedabad, two flights from Chandigarh to Ahmedabad were delayed by more than an hour here on Thursday.

The Chandigarh-Ahmedabad flight, which scheduled for departure at 3:55 pm, left from here at 5:30 pm, while another flight scheduled to depart at 6:55 pm left Chandigarh at 8:39 pm. Flight operations at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad were suspended following an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed in the Meghani area of the city. Flight operations later resumed on a limited basis.
