The Chhath Puja celebrations organised by the Shri Ramlila and Dussehra Committee, Phase 1, saw enthusiastic participation.

As the sun set, women sang “Chhath Maiya ke geet” while holding fruits, flowers and lamps in bowls, while offereing prayers.

Ashu Sood, President of the Shri Ramlila and Dussehra Committee, explained that this festival not only symbolises sun worship but also teaches cleanliness, discipline, and dedication.

In Kharar, Mithila Chhath committee organised the celebrations at Ajj Sarovar, while in Dera Bassi, the festivities were held at the banks of Ghaggar river.
