A team of the Forest Department, UT, rescued a nearly 10-foot-long python from the Lake Club here on Wednesday.

Dr Abdul Qayum, Deputy Conservator of Forests, UT, said they received a call on their helpline number about the presence of a huge python at the Lake Club.

A team of experts was immediately dispatched to the spot, he said and added that the python was rescued within half an hour and released in the nearby Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary. The girth of the python was around two feet, he added.
