Fortis Hospital, Mohali, has launched a state-of-the-art balance disorders and vertigo clinic at the facility for advanced diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders, which affect the balance and spatial orientation systems of the body. For this, the hospital has partnered with world’s largest chain of vertigo and dizziness clinics Neuroequilibrium.

This collaboration brings world-class expertise and advanced technology to enhance patient care for balance disorders. The innovative clinic combines the expertise of neurologists and ENT specialists, offering advanced care for patients suffering from vertigo, imbalance (functional balance disorder), and the fear of falling.

Dr Ashok Gupta said “This cutting-edge facility is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders, which affect the balance and spatial orientation systems of the body. With state-of-the-art equipment, we aim to provide accurate assessments and effective treatments, offering patients much-needed relief from conditions that often go undiagnosed or are mismanaged.”

Dr Anju Pillai, DGM, clinical excellence & operations, Neuroequilibrium, explained that the new vestibular lab is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools. International specialised tests which will be available include, video nystagmography (VNG), dynamic visual acuity (DVA), subjective visual vertical (SVV), cranio-corpography, posturography, videos head impulse test (VHIT), and vesitbular evoked myogenic potential (cVEMP).
