Federation of Sectors Welfare Association Chandigarh (FOSWAC) today raised the issue of thefts and snatchings with UT SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal during its executive committee meeting held at Sector 36 here today.

SSP Chahal assured them of regulating the beat system, controlling beggars at cross points. He was also in the favour of installing gates. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
