The police have arrested four drug smugglers and seized 211 gram of heroin, Rs 8.1 lakh in drug money, two illegal weapons, 16 live rounds and two vehicles during a recent operation in Mohali.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Satnam Singh alias Nikku (24), Suraj Kumar alias Pehalwan (22), Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukh (35) and Suhail (33). They were apprehended on April 25, produced before court on April 26 and sent to four days’ police remand, said Mohali SSP Deepak Pareek.

The CIA team was present near CP-67 Mall, Sector 67, Mohali, searching for suspicious persons when they received intelligence that Satnam Singh, a resident of Phase 1; Suraj Kumar, a resident of Sohana; and Sukhwinder Singh, from Guda village, were in possession of illegal weapons.
