Samriddhi Bansal, Gurmeet Kaur, Jiaana Garg and Anushka all scored two points each to lead the girls’ category on the opening day of the Under-13 Open and Girls Chess Championship at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Sector 27. A total of 39 players participated in this championship, conducted by Chandigarh Chess Association.

In the open category, Ayaan Garg, Shashank Seshan and Prabhav Atwal scored two points each, while Vivaan Mittal, Lakshiv Mittal, Amogh Agrawal, Pratyush and Atharv Negi posted 1.5 points each. Jayant Atwal, Amittej Kalia, Tejas Rai Aggarwal, Sidharth Bhargav, Shiven Grover, Aaditya Pajni, Eshaan Saha, Arihaan Kundra, Girik Gupta, and Sarvesh Rana all bagged a point each.
