Addressing a press conference on Friday, Gupta confirmed that Panchkula was fully prepared for the CET as per government guidelines. Special arrangements have been made for candidates from outside districts such as Karnal and Kaithal, who have been allotted examination centres in Panchkula. Upon arrival at the Panchkula bus stand, free feeder buses will be available to ferry them to their respective centres.
For Panchkula-based candidates travelling to Yamunanagar, free morning shift buses will depart at 4 am from Kalka, Morni and Pinjore, and at 4.30 am from Panchkula, Barwala and Raipur Rani. For the evening shift, buses will leave at 9 am from Kalka, Morni, and Pinjore, and at 9.30 am from Panchkula, Raipur Rani and Barwala.
In a special initiative, 53 candidates with disabilities from Panchkula will be transported free of charge from their homes to their examination centres in Chandigarh.
A 24x7 toll-free helpline — 0172-2566262 — has been made available for candidates. DC Gupta further informed that once the candidates reach Yamunanagar, the local administration there will provide free feeder buses to take them to their examination venues.
To assist candidates arriving a day in advance, the administration has arranged free accommodation in 9 dharamshalas and 22 community centres located near exam centres. Solo female candidates have been provided accommodation at the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board’s Laxmi Dharamshala.
To avoid any confusion, banners and posters will be placed at all bus stands, and government representatives will be stationed at each stand to guide candidates. Only candidates and deployed staff will be allowed inside the examination centre gates. Mobile phones will be strictly prohibited inside the centres.
Panchkula Bus Stand will serve as a major transit point, with 100 feeder buses and 11 designated routes to transport candidates to exam locations. Strict security measures are also in place for the safe handling of question papers and answer sheets post-exam.
Police Deputy Commissioner Shrishti Gupta stated that robust security arrangements have been made, including the deployment of adequate male and female police personnel. Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will remain enforced around the examination centres. Coaching centres and photocopy shops will remain closed on both exam days to maintain integrity and order.
