Friends’ Club log win in softball
The boys’ team of Friends’ Club logged a 10-0 win over Guru Harkrishan School on the opening day of the 42nd Junior State Softball Championship at the Sector 13 Mani Majra Sports Complex.
Chandigarh Tigers won the second match by defeating Saupin’s School 16-4, and Hanuman Club defeated St Anne’s School 2-0. NFC beat CMC-Jo 10-0 and Mahadev Club recorded a 5-0 win over Friends’ Club.
In the girls’ category, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, registered a 10-0 win over Gurukripa Vidya School and Strikers’ Club, Sector 37, defeated Model School 13-3. NFC logged a marginal 6-5 win over Mission Club and Sports Mission Club beat Carmel Convent School 18-7.
