Mohali, March 23

In view of the Covid-19 outbreak in the region, GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority) and PUDA (Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority) decided to shut down their offices till March 31.

The decision has been taken as a preventive measure. However, it was confirmed that the officials deployed by the government or authorities on mandatory duties will report as usual as the orders were not applicable to them. It was made clear that these officials are not allowed to leave their stations and shall always remain available on phone and email for contact in case the officials call them at office.

They are also not allowed to meet their relatives and acquaintances and they also cannot attend any social activity.

The authority cleared that legal action will be taken against the officials in case they violate the guidelines of GMADA and PUDA.

Notably, GMADA had stopped public dealing since last Friday.
