The accused Kamleshwar, a resident of New Chandigarh, Mohali, applied for the anticipatory bail after the police registered a case against him last week under Section 354 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of a woman student. According to the complaint, the victim student alleged that when she had gone to a storeroom to fetch medical supplies on June 27, the accused technician allegedly molested her.

She said the accused also threatened her of dire consequences if she mentioned the incident to anyone. Terminder Singh, counsel of the complainant and public prosecutor, sought the police remand for the accused for further investigation in the case.
