Shri Dhanwantri Ayurved College & Hospital, Sector 46-B, is set to launch a new public health service offering free rabies vaccinations as part of its golden jubilee celebrations. The free vaccination will be available at a new centre on the hospital premises, starting from April 20. Until now, the vaccine was only accessible at the Government Dispensary in Sector 19 and Sector 38.

The three-day celebration during the event — titled ‘Samvay 2025’ — will begin on April 20, featuring several key initiatives and ceremonies. The Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, will lay the foundation stone for a 250-bed Ayurvedic Super Speciality Hospital on the college campus. He will also inaugurate other healthcare services such as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a free delivery programme, and a geriatric care programme for elderly patients. Dr Koustubh Upadhyaya, Advisor (Ayurveda), Ministry of AYUSH, will attend the event as guest of honour.
