Members of the Goldy Brar gang lodged in the Burail Model Jail were attacked by a group of inmates, leaving four severely injured. The assault occurred during dinner. The assailants used kitchen utensils as weapons.

Amrit Pal Singh, alias Gujjar (27), who is accused of firing at a businessman’s house in Sector 5 and making an extortion call, has filed a complaint about the incident.

Gujjar, who is lodged in Barrack No. 9, reported that he and Kaushal Singh, alias Harry, a co-accused in the same firing case, were walking in the barracks when an inmates, identified as Abhilash, Kallu, and Amit, began provoking them.

Gujjar claimed that when he objected, the inmates threatened them, leading to a scuffle. The other inmates in the barracks intervened and pacified both groups.

Later, while Gujjar and Kaushal were having dinner in the barracks, Abhilash, Sonu, Rahul, Manish, Aman, alias Kallu; Sushil Yadav, Amit Kumar, alias Deery; Fouji and others allegedly attacked them with kitchen utensils, including spoons and glasses.

Gujjar, Kaushal and two other inmates, Raja and Monty Shah, who tried to help the victims, were injured. The police reached the scene and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32. A case has been registered.
