Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria today launched the ‘Sardar@150 – Unity March’ campaign. The initiative marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and celebrates his monumental role in unifying the nation.

The Governor also extended his wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, a symbol of purity, knowledge and moral strength. He said also on this day, Dr Rajendra Prasad had announced to make Chandigarh the capital.

He urged the youth to actively participate in the campaign and register themselves at www.mybharat.gov.in/mega_event to become a part of the nationwide movement dedicated to Sardar Patel.
