To check use of banned plastic and promote sustainability, the Municipal Corporation distributed compostable bags to vendors near prominent places of worship as part of the Swachh Teerth Campaign today.

The campaign seeks to encourage vendors to adopt eco-friendly practices. Aryan, Swachh Bharat Mission brand ambassador, handed over compostable bags to vendors at Iscon Temple, Sector 36, and Sai Temple, Sector 29. The MC team briefed vendors about the harmful effects of single-use plastic and highlighted the advantages of using compostable bags.
