Guinness glory for 17-year-old Chandigarh skater Janvi Jindal

Seventeen-year-old local skater Janvi Jindal received confirmation from the Guinness World Records for achieving five milestones, including most 360 degree rotations on inline skates in 30 seconds (27 spins), fastest slalom (20 cones) on inline skates on two wheels – 8.85 seconds, most one-wheeled 360 degree spins in 30 seconds (42 spins), most one-wheeled 360 degree spins in one minute (72 spins) and most consecutive one-wheeled 360 degree spins (22 spins).

“These records have made me the highest Guinness record-holding female (under-18) and the only female from Chandigarh to ever reach such a milestone,” said an elated Janvi.

Born and raised in the city, Janvi took her first steps into skating in 2018, inspired by online videos.

“I have tried to redefine the image of skating in India by integrating it with culture, art and wellness,” said the two-time former national champion and national medallist for six consecutive years.
