Cops say no injuries have been reported

Miscreants fired gunshots at the Sector 70 house of Punjabi film producer Pushpinder Pal Singh Dhaliwal, also known as Pinky Dhaliwal, on Thursday evening.

The police did not confirm whether the family was home at the time of the incident. However, cops confirmed that no injuries have been reported.

Panic spread in the posh locality as heavy posse of police personnel reached the spot and began an investigation.

Cops said they are probing the case from all angles, including personal rivalry and extortion.

Dhaliwal was arrested after singer Sunanda Sharma accused him of financial fraud and harassment in March. The Punjab and Haryana High Court later held his arrest illegal. He then reached a compromise with the singer.
