When the cops traced the vehicle in Kharar, the miscreant reportedly fired at the complainant Gurpreet and a police team. Both car driver and the woman fled the spot. The police have recovered two empty bullet shells from the spot and impounded the vehicle, and have constituted teams to arrest the duo.

SP (City) Harbir Singh Atwal said, “The suspect fired gunshots twice, once at the complainant, then in the morning, when the police team had gone to arrest him. We will nab him soon.”

A case under Section 109 of the BNS and the Arms Act has been registered at the Sohana police station. Officials have recorded the complainant’s statement in the case.
