The boys’ U-19 team of Gurukul Global School, Manimajra, and the girls’ team of New Public School, Sector 18, won the CBSE Cluster XVII Basketball Tournament, organised by the PML SD Public School, Sector 32.

In the boys’ final, the Manimajra outfit defeated the host school 74-71. Ujjawal starred in the team’s win by contributing 21 points, while Uddish (17 points) gathered maximum points for the Sector 32 team. In the girls’ category, the Sector 18 squad posted a 33-11 win over Learning Paths School, Mohali, with Samaira (8 points) scoring maximum points for the side, and Harsheen contributing six for the Mohali team.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ U-14 category, Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, claimed the top position, while Learning Paths School finished second. Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, and New Public School claimed the joint third position. Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, outclassed Learning Paths team to win the girls’ U-14 title, while Manav Mangal Smart School, Mohali, and Sacred Souls School, Gharuan, finished at third position.

In the boys’ U-17 final, St Xavier’s School Model Town, Bathinda, won the trophy by defeating Learning Paths School, and Sacred Souls School, along with New Public School, claimed joint third position. In the girls’ U-17 category, Guru Nanak Public School lifted the title and Vivek High School, Sector 38, finished at second position. Sacred Heart School shared the third position with Learning Paths.
