Governor Banwarilal Purohit paid tributes to late Surjit Patar at an event held today at the law auditorium, Panjab University, here. He began his address by quoting lines from Patar’s poetry.

The late Punjabi writer’s son Manraj Patar and his younger brother Upkar Singh Patar, also rendered Patar’s compositions. The event witnessed over 500 writers, poets, intellectuals, teachers and appreciators of Patar gathering to express their love and respect. The event also saw the release of a commemorative poster by the Sapta Sindhu team, along with a set of Patar’s books and posters.
