The complainant had reported that she had received a call from an unknown person to settle the refund issue related to her SBI credit card. The suspect posed as an SBI official and told the victim that her credit card was already blocked. The suspect asked her to share the details of all the credit cards she had. As soon as the victim shared the details, a sum of Rs. 83,979 was deduced from her RBL credit card.

A case was registered and the suspect was nabbed. The police said three mobile phones used in the crime were recovered from him. “The suspect used prepaid SIM cards of other states, including Assam and Odisha.
