Haryana’s Avnita Verma clocked 2 minutes and 27.68 seconds (02.27.68s) to claim first position in the 200m freestyle event of the girls’ U-18 category during the Khelo India Junior Women’s Swimming Series 2024 at the Sports Complex in Sector 63 here. Shubhnoor Kaur Vaid (02.28.93s) finished second and Vanshika (02.29.16s) claimed the third spot.

In the girls’ U-15 event, Lakshita Singh (02.26.88s), Harshita (02.36.38s) and Apurva Sharma (02.37.09s) claimed the top three positions, respectively.

In the 100m backstroke event of the girls’ U-18 category, Punjab’s Avni Chhabra (01.11.07s) and Arshpreet Kaur (01.13.34s) bagged the first and second spots, respectively. Ananya Chauhan (01.18.21s) claimed the third position. In the U-15 event, Delhi’s Seher Puri (01.21.74s), Isha Panwar (01.26.02s) and Khushi Puri (01.26.50s) bagged top three positions, respectively.

Arshpreet Kaur (01.10.10s) won the girls’ 100m butterfly event in the U-18 category, followed by Mohini (01.22.37s) and Bhagyavrdhka Verma (01.31.49s).

In the girls’ U-15 event, Lakshita Singh (01.13.69s), Apurva Sharma (01.16.07s) and Pranjal (01.20.28s) won top three spots.

In the 200m breaststroke U-18 event, Avni Chhabra (03.05.10s) won the pole position, followed by Ekambir Kaur Sandhu (03.07.62s) and Trishna Abhay Waghmare (03.19.06s). In the U-15 category, Shivanshi (03.18.58s), Anushka Sharma (03.24.17s) and Sidhi Joshi (03.25.00s) bagged the honours.

In the 200m individual medley (U-18) event, Arshpreet Kaur (02.39.03s), Vanshika (02.54.30s) and Ekambir (02.55.00s) won top three positions, while in the U-15 category, Apurva Sharma (02.58.50s), Harshika Julka (03.00.55s) and Seher Puri (03.02.05s) bagged the honours.
