As such, normal court functioning will resume with effect from Friday.
The Bar had on Wednesday given the strike call following “serious acts of misconduct and assault on the honorary secretary and other members of the Bar, and open intimidation on the court premises”. Late in the evening it had described as “most unfortunate” the non-registration of an FIR under the relevant provisions of the IT Act, Arms Act and other applicable sections against “Ravneet Kaur and Simran Singh Blassi”.
The Bar had further regretted that even court No. 1 of the Chief Justice had entertained the request of Ravneet to fix her matter for the next day, “notwithstanding her conduct being specifically brought to the notice of the court and despite the strong objections raised by the Bar”.
“It is also highly deplorable that no action has yet been taken to remove the objectionable social media posts targeting members of the Bar, especially the president and the honorary secretary,” it was added.
