The Punjab and Haryana High Court today dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Saurabh Gupta and Arvind Singla in the alleged fraud case involving a property in Sector 37.

The order by Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal on the two pleas filed against the UT of Chandigarh was not yet available. So far, the police have arrested four men in the case, including journalist Sanjeev Mahajan.

One of the accused, Manish Gupta, has been granted regular bail.

A case of forgery, cheating, abduction and other offences under Sections 452, 331,344, 365, 386, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 473, 474, 477 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Sector 39 police station.

As per the FIR, a house in Sector 37, Chandigarh, was fraudulently sold.
